Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Work in a 15-bed Emergency Department at a Level II Trauma Center
• Patient population spans all ages, including pediatric and adult patients
• Nurses work in teams supported by PCTs and a unit secretary
• Night shift schedule: 18:30–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• TNCC required (renewed every 4 years)
• ENPC required
• NRP (AHA/AAP) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License copy required for consideration
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Current skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Implement and monitor patient care plans, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a stressful environment with minimal supervision are essential
• Standard precautions and appropriate PPE must be followed at all times
• Local candidates are accepted, but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
