Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist licensed in Oregon for a 13-week contract at a remote rural hospital, working 10-hour shifts Friday through Monday.
Details
- Rehabilitation therapy setting within a remote, rural hospital
- Schedule consists of 10-hr shifts, Friday through Monday, totaling 40 hrs/week
- Focus on physical disability and rehabilitation, general medicine, surgical, and mental health patient populations
Requirements
- Active Oregon OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTA-accredited program
- Must meet all requisites for licensure as an OT by the Oregon State Board of Health
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Current, valid Oregon driver's license required
- Knowledge of occupational therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical, and mental health concepts
- DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

- This facility is in a very remote location — the nearest major international airport is in Reno, NV, approximately 3.5–4 hours away; Medford, OR is approximately 3 hours away
- Candidates should be fully aware of and committed to the remote nature of this assignment prior to applying — the closest Walmart is over an hour away
- Responsibilities include evaluating, selecting, and directing therapeutic activities designed to restore maximum function to physically and/or mentally disabled patients per physician referral
- Collaborates with family members and the broader healthcare team regarding patient abilities and goals
- Strong interpersonal and team skills, including effective communication, interaction, support, and respect, are essential
