Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Telemetry position in Alabaster, AL, requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and active AL or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 21-bed Medical/Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes acute care and intermediate acute care patients
• Patient ratio of 1:6 (variable)
• Telemetry experience is required; Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience preferred
• EMR: Epic
• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Every 3rd weekend required, plus additional weekends as needed
• Floating required as needed to like units, including facilities within a 25-mile radius
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active AL RN license or compact RN license, currently in hand — no hits on license accepted
• Current certifications required (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NCI, and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA); American Red Cross certifications are not accepted

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Navy scrubs required per facility dress code policy
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (Alabama radius rule); local candidates are not eligible
• SSN and date of birth will be required for consideration
• Candidates may only be submitted to one position at a time within this health system
