Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 16-week contract in Augusta, GA, with a minimum of 1 year of IR experience and BLS certification required.

Details

Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
Adult and geriatric patient population
Average daily census of 8 patients
EMR systems include Epic, Pyxis, and PACS
Day shift, Monday–Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Every other weekend required
10 days of on-call per month
Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Tech experience
Current BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Two supervisory references (manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

First-time travelers are accepted for this position
Local candidates are accepted
Scrubs are provided by the facility
RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4–12)
If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all applicable holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two, and one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval — major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted; the listed shift is firm
Travelers must have been away from all facilities in this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
Full compliance is required prior to start; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
