Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and a valid LA or compact RN license.
Details
- Hospital ICU setting with a standard 1:2 patient ratio, which may flex to 1:3
- Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- 13-week contract
- 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
- No on-call requirement
- Floating required to all ICUs, and may include the ED or PACU to care for ICU-level patients; occasional float to MS/PCU units with a 1:4 patient ratio
- Epic EMR experience required
- Equipment used includes Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA Pumps, Servo I Ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis Machines, Edwards Lifesciences Cardiac Monitors, Medtronic EVD Management Systems, Arctic Sun TMS, GE Monitors, Hill-Rom Beds, Pyxis Medication Stations, and Veratron Bladder Scanners
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Any employment gaps exceeding 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- Nurses are responsible for all lab draws, EKGs, and IV line starts
- CPI certification can be obtained at the facility for $100 if not already held
- Nurses must be prepared to care for isolation patients, including potential COVID-19 cases — knowing your N95 mask size is expected
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be considered
- RTO is limited to 5 days for the duration of the contract
