Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring night shift availability, NIHSS certification, and a 100-mile radius minimum from the facility.
Details
- Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 1:7
- Night shift schedule: 4:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- 36-hour weekly work commitment
- Rotating weekends and holidays required
- Floating required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS and NIHSS
- Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidate's permanent residence must be 100+ miles from the facility's service area
Additional Information
- Local candidates are not accepted; only candidates residing 100 or more miles from the facility are eligible
- Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
- Travelers are expected to actively support nursing students and participate in clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
- 13-week contract
