Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring night shifts, rotating weekends, and a 100-mile radius rule from the facility.

Details

• Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• AHA-issued certifications only accepted
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility's service area; local candidates are not accepted
• Orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care responsibilities
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible — experience with 1:7 ratios should be confirmed prior to applying
