Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with RDCS or RCS certification and 1-2 years of experience for a community hospital echo department in Riverhead, NY.

Details

• 145-bed community hospital setting
• Active echo department with 7-day/week coverage
• Adult-only patient population
• 10-15 echos per day split between 2-3 techs
• Procedures include intraprocedural TTE and TEE at bedside
• GE E90 and E95 equipment used
• Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with every other weekend

Requirements

• RDCS through ARDMS or RCS through CCI required; RDCS highly preferred
• 1-2 years of experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• TEE and probe processing experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification required; only AHA certifications accepted
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills required
• License required if applicable — candidates without a current NYS DOH license must provide proof of a completed license application
• Two professional references from previous managers required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform TTE and TEE studies, including intraprocedural imaging at bedside
• Navy blue scrubs required; provided by the facility
• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible to apply as locals at a reduced rate
• Candidates with prior work history at this health system may be subject to an eligibility review process before placement
