Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Labor & Delivery for a night shift travel contract at a community hospital OB/GYN unit in Fort Mohave, AZ, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.

Details

• Work in a combined OB/GYN unit with an 8-bed labor, delivery, and postpartum unit
• Patient population includes laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and neonates
• Common diagnoses and treatments include term and late preterm indications such as gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Patient ratios vary based on patient acuity
• Equipment used includes IV pumps, epidural pumps, fetal monitoring equipment, fetal dopplers, and syringe pumps
• EMR systems used are MedHost and Centricity; Centricity experience is preferred
• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required; night weekend coverage is Friday and Saturday
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
• Current AHA certifications required, including NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, and ACLS
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Experience with labor and delivery, postpartum care, well baby, and stabilization of critically ill newborns for transfer
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed full-time elsewhere

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and neonatal patients, including stabilization of critical newborns for transfer
• Experience with LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum) nursing is preferred
• Black scrubs required
• Orientation is provided on a weekly basis
• The hospital is a state-of-the-art, all-private-bed facility serving the Bullhead City, Laughlin, and Needles area
