Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an IMC/Step-Down position in Lake Havasu City, AZ, requiring at least 2 years of acute care experience and prior travel nursing experience.
Details
- Progressive Care Step-Down/Transitional unit at a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center
- 30-bed IMC unit serving adult and geriatric patients
- Patient population includes STEMI, NSTEMI, CHF, COPD, sepsis, CABG (POD 2), acute respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation with RVR, ALIF, and XLIF cases
- Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- On-call responsibilities required
- Float requirements include Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ED holds when up for admission
- EMR: Medhost
- 13-week contract based in Lake Havasu City, AZ
Requirements
- Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
- AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; bring applicable AHA-issued certifications)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate

- Joint Commission Accredited facility and Certified Chest Pain Center
- Level III Trauma Center
- Block schedule requests are not accepted
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
- Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ — within driving distance of Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon National Park (3.5 hrs), and Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
