Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan, requiring OB/L&D experience with ACLS, BLS, NRP, and C-EFM certifications and every-other-weekend availability.

Details

15-bed LDRP unit with 3 triage bays and 2 operating rooms
Nurses work across all areas of the LDRP unit, including antepartum, labor and delivery, OR circulating, scrub nurse, newborn nursing at delivery, and couplet care
Patient staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines
Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
Every other weekend required
Floating to house sitter role and to a sister facility approximately 27 miles away when census and need require
No on-call responsibilities
EMR: Epic

Requirements

Active Michigan RN license required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in OB, Mother/Baby, and L&D required
Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate and/or NCC C-EFM
Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Required skills: OR circulating and FHM triage
Preferred skill: Scrub nurse experience

Additional Information

Nurses perform lab draws and newborn hearing screens using the ALGO 5 machine; training provided for hearing screens
Scrubs are provided by the facility
No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the contract
