Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery LDRP position at a Level 2 OB-Maternal facility, requiring a minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience and flexibility to float across sister campuses.
Details
- Family Birth Suites unit within a hospital setting, OB-Maternal Level 2 with a Level 1 Nursery on a 24-bed unit
- Patient ratios: Labor 1-2:1, Postpartum 3-4:1
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, three shifts per week
- On-call is required with a minimum of 12 hours of call per calendar month
- Floating is required; travelers are first to float, including to sister campuses located within 15–20 minutes of the primary facility
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
- Degree accreditation documentation required, or minimum 5 years of RN experience in lieu of accreditation
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Two professional references required for consideration — one within the past year, one may be older
- Full demographic information required for consideration, including: full date of birth, Social Security number, copy of SS card, driver's license, and RN license number
Additional Information
- Nurses begin orientation on a Friday, which includes remote orientation followed by an in-person visit to the facility for badge and ID — candidates must be physically present in the area by that Friday
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to offer, as the facility will not approve RTO requests after submission
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- Travelers are expected to integrate into and function alongside core staff
- A clinical interview with the hiring facility is required; an offer is contingent on this interview
- Nursing school accreditation must be verifiable through ACEN, CNEA, CCNE, or the Florida Department of Health's approved nursing program list
