Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist for an Imaging department at a Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center in Bangor, ME, with OR/C-arm experience required.
Details
- Imaging department within a 411-bed Level II Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center serving a large regional area
- Imaging suite includes 2 general X-ray rooms (Siemens Ysio and Siemens Multix Fusion), 1 fluoroscopy room (Siemens Artis Zee), and OR C-arms (OEC, Siemens, and Ziehm), plus Shimadzu DR mobile portables
- Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric with some pediatric and neonatal cases
- Care areas include outpatient, inpatient (ED, ICU, Med/Surg), and the operating room
- Procedures include fluoroscopy, C-arm, orthopedic and orthopedic trauma imaging, ICU, and ER studies
- EMR: Cerner; PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
- 36 hours per week on a variable schedule
- No call required
- Weekend rotation varies based on department need
- Holiday coverage is done in rotation with other technologists
- 4-week schedules provided to the best of scheduling ability
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience; candidates with 1 year will be considered depending on type of experience
- ARRT (R) certification required
- Current BLS required
- ME state license required (compact or ME license); license required if applicable
- OR/C-arm experience required
- Experience with outpatient, inpatient (ED, ICU, Med/Surg), and OR patient populations required
- Full SSN required for consideration
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- 2 references within the past year required for consideration, with at least one from a Supervisor, Manager, or Director (Charge Nurse acceptable; peer references not accepted)
- Copies of all certifications required for consideration
- Flu vaccination required for eligibility to start
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles south/southwest of Bangor, ME to be eligible; candidates living 100+ miles north will be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Candidates who have previously worked at any Northern Light Health Hospital in a permanent capacity are not eligible
- Orientation is approximately 1 to 1.5 weeks depending on experience and comfort level
- Department support includes a Lead Tech, department administration, internal transport, and an on-site radiologist
- Scrubs may be any solid, professional color; scrubs are also available from the facility if needed
- Free parking on site
- All RTO requests require manager approval and must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Manager interviews required
