Description
American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in invasive cardiac procedures for a 13-week travel contract in Tucson, AZ.
Details
- Work in a hospital cardiac catheterization lab
- Procedures include angiograms, PCI, complex cases (CTO, left main, PFO, device implants, PE thrombectomy), IR cases, and peripheral vascular procedures
- STEMI coverage required
- Impella and IABP use expected
- Monitoring and recording performed on MacLab (training provided)
- EMR: Cerner
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- On-call requirement of 9–10 shifts per month and 1 weekend per month
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience required
- ARRT certification required — RCIS certification not accepted
- Current BLS required
- Proficiency in sterile technique and scrubbing cath lab procedures
- Experience with Impella and IABP required
- Structural heart experience preferred but not required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- All certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
- Valid driver's license required for consideration
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Duties include scrubbing and monitoring/recording cath lab procedures
- Knowledge of cath lab products and room restocking expected
- Any solid color scrubs permitted
- RTO requests must be less than one week
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
- Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
