Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Fort Mohave, AZ, requiring at least 1-2 years of acute care OR experience and an AZ or compact RN license.

Details

• Day shift position, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Acute care hospital OR setting with 6 ORs and 1 Endo suite
• Patient population is approximately 70% adult, 28% geriatric, and 2% pediatric
• Case mix includes general, endoscopy, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and scheduled and emergency C-sections
• Approximately 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient surgical cases
• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Equipment includes new Olympus laparoscopic/endo equipment, processors and monitors, Steris beds, and a Hana table
• EMR: Medhost and CQI
• Call is evenly shared among OR RNs; call typically begins at 5:00 PM
• Weekends required for on-call only
• May float to PACU as a second RN

Requirements

• Active AZ RN license or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS required (AHA certifications required)
• PALS preferred; on-site training available if not currently held
• Minimum 1-2 years of acute care OR experience required
• Experience with general, endoscopy, orthopedic, OB/GYN, and C-section cases required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Visible tattoos are acceptable provided they meet professional standards; clothing with pornographic, profane, or inappropriate imagery is not permitted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Full-time employment elsewhere is not permitted concurrently with this assignment
• 13-week contract
