Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for a 13-week day shift contract at an award-winning outpatient rehabilitation clinic in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic setting
• Day shift schedule, either 5x8-hour or 4x10-hour shifts per week
• Responsibilities span evaluation and treatment, patient chart documentation, and supervision of PT Assistants and Aides
• EMR used for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
• Degree in Physical Therapy required
• Active CA PT license required if applicable
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding and familiarity with PT billing procedures (Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, liens, cash pay)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, assist with patient transfers, and remain physically mobile for 8-10 hour shifts including prolonged standing and walking
• Computer proficiency required, including EMR, word processing, and internet

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, supervising PT Assistants and Aides, collaborating with physicians and front office staff, and participating in marketing and referral efforts when needed
• Must maintain HIPAA compliance and adhere to patient privacy policies
• Continuing education is preferred
