Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg travel assignment in Sierra Vista, AZ, requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and AHA-certified BLS and ACLS.

Details

• Acute care Med/Surg unit in a 34-bed facility
• Patient population includes geriatric, adult, and occasional pediatric patients (peds not assigned to travelers)
• Patient types include telemetry, surgical, and general medical
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Equipment includes Alaris pumps, SCD machines, feeding tubes, and telemetry monitors
• EMR: Cerner
• Day shift: 7A–7P
• Occasional weekend shifts required (same hours apply)
• May be placed on call when unit is understaffed
• Floating may include caring for inpatient holds

Requirements

• Active AZ or Compact RN license required
• AHA-certified BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or relevant healthcare experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• AHA certifications (not equivalent cards) required

Additional Information

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; closed-toe shoes required for clinical staff
• First-time travelers are not preferred — at least one year of travel experience is recommended
