Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a rural hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and availability for night shifts on a 13-week contract.

• Med/Surg unit in a rural hospital setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (SC or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and nursing interventions in collaboration with physician-prescribed plans of care
• Proficient use of standard care protocols for central lines, chest tubes, Foley and suprapubic catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and high fall-risk patients
• Expected to conduct hourly rounding using the 4 P's framework
• May be asked to precept or mentor less experienced staff members
