Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN for a 13-week travel contract in Janesville, WI, requiring active WI licensure and a comprehensive trauma certification package including TNCC or TNS.

Details

• Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Traveler may be required to work at a second ED location within the same city

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC or TNS
• Prior Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Education verification required for consideration
• Current flu vaccination required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care using the nursing process
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient care plans, including patient and family education
• Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and state practice laws
• Participates in department performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance and peer review
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
