Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience, prior travel experience, and the ability to pass a Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 6:20 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts)
- Patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6
- Telemetry monitoring skills are required for this unit
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays, plus other holidays during the contract
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active MD or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms
- 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Flu vaccine required
Additional Information
- This unit performs gender affirmation surgery; candidates must be comfortable with this patient population (experience preferred but not required)
- Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Candidates may come into contact with COVID-positive patients
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position

I do not have anything negative other than you need to fight with sone to all9w you gain some admission, emergency and critical patient stabilisation experience since they invade such patients which may leave you hanging while the resuscitation happens.
