Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP position in a Family Birth Suites unit at a Level 2 OB-Maternal facility, requiring 2 years of LDRP experience and a valid FL or compact RN license.
Details
- Family Birth Suites unit at an OB-Maternal Level 2 facility with a Level 1 Nursery
- 24-bed unit serving labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum patients
- Patient ratios: Labor 1–2:1, Postpartum 3–4:1
- 12-hour evening shifts, 11:00 AM–11:30 PM, 3 shifts per week
- On-call required, with a minimum of 12 on-call hours per calendar month
- EMR: Epic
- Floating is required; travelers are the first to float and may float to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the facility
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required
- Degree accreditation verification required, or 5+ years of nursing experience in lieu of accreditation documentation
- Driver's license address must match address on the Board of Nursing record
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's location — this rule is strictly enforced
- Candidates must not own or be associated with any property within the 50-mile radius
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be approved afterward
- Orientation begins on a Friday; nurses must be physically present at the facility on that day for badging/ID, with remote orientation also required
- Nurses are expected to integrate into the unit and function as core staff
- Two professional references are required for consideration: one within the past year and one additional reference
- Full demographic information — including date of birth, SSN, and RN license number — is required for consideration
- Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the contract start date; no exceptions for pending documents
