Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Hospital PCU setting with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring dysrhythmia monitoring and management
• 13-week contract
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating between all health system campuses required as needed
• Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
• Proficiency in peripheral line care and management, including PICC line management
• Experience titrating drips required
• Must have prior experience working at PCU patient ratios (1:5)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during the compliance process — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
