Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel assignment requiring cardiac telemetry experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Hospital PCU setting with a 1:5 patient ratio
- Cardiac telemetry patient population requiring dysrhythmia monitoring and management
- 13-week contract
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Weekend rotation required
- Holiday rotation required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating between all health system campuses required as needed
- Epic EMR experience is mandatory
Requirements
- Active NC or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Experience with management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
- Proficiency in peripheral line care and management, including PICC line management
- Experience titrating drips required
- Must have prior experience working at PCU patient ratios (1:5)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
- All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during the compliance process — two attempts are allowed; candidates should prepare in advance as study materials are not provided by the facility
- Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
