Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry (Stepdown/Intermediate Care) position requiring at least 1 year of experience and night shift availability.

Details

• 28-bed cardiac telemetry stepdown/intermediate care unit
• Cares for a broad range of cardiac patient needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
• Unit is supported by PCTs and a Healthcare Unit Coordinator
• Virtual sitter monitoring and monitor techs available for telemetry patients
• Night shift: 18:30–07:00
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or Compact) required
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration
• Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and coordinating discharge planning
• Must demonstrate critical thinking skills and decisive judgment with the ability to work independently in a stressful environment
• Standard Precautions and PPE protocols must be followed
• Local candidates are accepted; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible for a reduced pay rate only
