Description

American Traveler is hiring a Radiologic Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in a hospital radiology department, requiring ARRT certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital radiology department setting
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Performs general diagnostic radiographic imaging for multiple patient populations
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience required; 2–3 years with multiple patient populations preferred
• Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging required; experience cannot be substituted
• ARRT (R) certification required
• Active MA state Radiologic Technologist license required; conditional or pending licenses are not accepted — license required if applicable
• BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location)
• Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions are accepted
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition to produce quality diagnostic images
• Prepares, transports, immobilizes, and positions patients for radiographic procedures
• Explains procedures to patients with consideration for their physical and emotional needs
• Records digital images for radiologist interpretation and maintains accurate patient records
• Follows radiation protection and prescribed safety standards
• May assist Radiology Technologist students and new staff with radiologic exams, sterile technique, and supply management
• Timekeeping is performed via UKG/Kronos
• Start date is contingent upon credentialing clearance
• Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are eligible but subject to a reduced pay rate
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
