Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist for a 13-week contract in a Cardiac Ultrasound unit, requiring RCS certification and at least 2 years of experience across neonate to geriatric patient populations.

Details

• Located in the main hospital building, first floor, within the Cardiac Ultrasound department (Cost Center 750)
• 2-bed unit with a staff of 7, including 2–3 staff on day shift and 1–2 staff on evenings and weekends
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Primary procedure performed is complete 2D echocardiography
• Equipment used is GE
• Documentation system is Meditech Expanse
• Shift hours are 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM; no overnight shifts
• Call requirement of 3–7 nights per month for emergency stat echos
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with neonate through geriatric patient populations
• RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Must have active experience in the role within the last 6 months
• License required if applicable
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSN accepted
• Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Must be able to complete echo studies in under 45 minutes per patient
• Must be available to take call for emergency stat echos
• Ability to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid environment is strongly preferred
• Scrub color required: ciel blue
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
