Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position at a cardiovascular-focused hospital, requiring cardiovascular nursing experience and NM or Compact RN licensure.

Details

• PCU located within a Heart Hospital, with 55 beds on the unit
• Cardiovascular patient population
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
• Rotating weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
• Floating to other units is required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NM or Compact RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) also required; CPI preferred
• Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Cardiovascular nursing experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation
• Scrubs may be any color, but no logo is permitted
