Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring multi-specialty surgical experience including Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology, with on-call responsibilities.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room setting
- Specialties include Orthopedic, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology surgeries
- Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- On-call responsibilities required
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- Da Vinci Robotic surgery, endovascular, and ophthalmology experience are a plus
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or a Compact RN license valid in Texas, required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Experience in Ortho, General, Neuro, Vascular, and Urology required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS certification required
Additional Information
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
- Candidates residing in the following Texas counties are not eligible: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Travel pairs or groups will not be accepted
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
