Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of experience required.
Details
- Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- 10-week contract
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Current copies of all required certifications must be available for consideration
- Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- No schedule change requests or alternate shifts are permitted — the listed shift is firm
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
