Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of experience required.

Details

• Medical/Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
• 10-week contract

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Current copies of all required certifications must be available for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurses not accepted) are highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted
• No schedule change requests or alternate shifts are permitted — the listed shift is firm
• RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2 of them
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
• Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
