Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with Epic Stork experience for a night shift travel contract at a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Virginia.
Details
- Labor & Delivery unit within a 431-bed, short-term acute care hospital designated as a Level II Trauma Center
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Patient ratio of 1:2 with an average daily census of approximately 5 deliveries
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within scope to MBU or NICU based on facility needs
- Epic (Stork) is the EMR used and experience is required
- Specialized equipment includes Triton for quantitative blood loss (AI technology), Surgicount, and Monica Novii
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Rate Monitoring (FHR) or Relias FHR certification required (facility can provide confirmed traveler access to complete FHR prior to assignment start)
- Epic Stork experience is required
- Fetal heart monitoring (FHM) and circulating skills required
- Scrub and OB assist skills preferred
Additional Information
- Navy blue scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of confirmation — no excessive RTO requests will be accommodated
- Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
