Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a specialized integrated medicine unit focused on at-risk patients, requiring 2+ years of experience and night shift availability.
Details
- Work on a 24-bed Integrated Medicine unit within a hospital setting, focused on at-risk patients
- The unit is a secured environment featuring whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entry
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- 36 or 48 hours/week may be discussed during interview
- Floating required
- Uses Cerner for charting (preferred but not required)
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible; candidates residing within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced travel pay rate
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses)
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI Blue Card required (for Behavioral Health RNs)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in a Med/Surg setting
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Holiday coverage is required for at least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract
- This is an active, physical role in a healthcare facility operating 24/7/365
- Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is expected
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
- Travelers who need CPI Blue Card certification may complete the course onsite
