Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg position on a secured, integrated medicine unit specializing in at-risk patients, with night shifts and a requirement for at least 2 years of RN experience.
Details
- Work on a 24-bed Integrated Medicine unit, a secured med/surg setting focused on at-risk patients
- Unit features enhanced safety measures including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entry
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- 36 or 48 hours per week may be available and can be discussed during the interview process
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required
- Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
- At least 50% of holidays occurring during the contract are required
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- CPI Blue Card certification required (relevant to behavioral health components of this role)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in med/surg
- Trauma Level I experience preferred
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be considered at a locally adjusted rate
- Candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for travel rates
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront
- This is an academic medical center environment — Trauma Level I setting
