Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) night shift position in Maine, requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and active ME or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU) in a hospital setting
- Modalities include cardiac progressive care, med-surg adult, cardiac telemetry, and telemetry med/surg
- Night shift: 7p–7a
- 13-week contract
- Every other weekend work may be required at the request of the Department Manager or Supervisor
Requirements
- Active Maine RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS required (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong communication skills, ability to multitask, and flexibility with scheduling
Additional Information
- Provides patient care functions in accordance with the State of Maine Board of Nursing and hospital policies and procedures
- Works under the supervision of the Unit Director, with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse providing direct shift supervision
- Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Holiday coverage required for: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and Fourth of July
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a lower local pay rate
- Travelers may complete a maximum of 2 consecutive 13-week assignments at this facility before being required to leave for at least 26 weeks prior to returning
