Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a travel assignment in Southeast Alaska, requiring an active Alaska RN license and a minimum of 3 years of OR experience.

Details

• Operating Room position within a regional health consortium serving Southeast Alaska
• Handles a wide variety of elective and emergency surgical cases including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedic, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures
• Full-time schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Tuesday through Friday
• On-call required for nights, holidays, and weekends
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska required at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
• Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Flu vaccine required
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or rural OR setting strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Manages surgical cases throughout the day efficiently and ensures timely progression of the OR schedule
• Utilizes after-hours call services to staff the OR for nights, holidays, and weekends
• Fingerprint card processing is required prior to start — candidates should be prepared to schedule an appointment promptly upon acceptance to avoid delays
