Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma children's hospital, requiring at least 1 year of travel nursing experience in a pediatric CICU setting.
Details
- Position is located within the CVPICU (Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU) of a top-ranked children's hospital
- Facility is a Magnet-designated, academic teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center
- Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hrs/week (3x12s) or 48 hrs/week (4x12s)
- May float to the Cardiac Med/Surg floor to assist with patients as needed
- Charting is performed using Cerner
- Free parking available with a permit
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO and KS state RN licenses, or a Compact RN license, required — pending licensure is not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association) — all must be active, pending certifications are not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a travel nurse is required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Pediatric CICU/CVPICU experience must be clearly documented in work history
- Critical care nursing background required
- Date of birth and Social Security number required for consideration
- Two professional references from a supervisor level or higher, completed within the last 12 months, required for consideration

- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Scrubs should be any kid-friendly color or pattern (RRT: any color; SPT: provided)
- This is a nicotine-free campus — candidates will be tested for nicotine
- Note: The internal description states first-time travelers are not accepted (minimum 1 year travel experience required); candidates new to travel nursing should not apply
