Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/Neuro Stepdown position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience, ACLS, and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Neuro Stepdown in a hospital setting
• Neurological and stepdown patient population; candidates with strong general medicine or surgical backgrounds will also be considered
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to Med/Surg, Neuro, Stepdown, and PCU units
• No on-call responsibilities
• Blocked scheduling is not available
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NC or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required; strong general medicine or surgical experience considered in lieu of neuro experience
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• One supervisory professional reference from within the last year required for consideration
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Neuro experience is preferred, but candidates with strong general medicine or surgical backgrounds will be considered
• Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
