Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care setting, treating patients across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled units.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with coverage across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled units
• Average of 8 patients treated per day
• Patient population consists primarily of outpatient cases, with additional acute inpatient and skilled swing bed patients
• Charting is performed using MatrixCare/Matrix EMR
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 9-hour shifts
• No weekend or holiday coverage required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates may be considered as training is provided
• Active PT license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
• Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled settings
• Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
• Professional casual attire required
• No PT aides or PTAs on staff
• Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
• This position is open to first-time travelers, as training is provided
