Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care setting, treating patients across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled units.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting with coverage across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled units
- Average of 8 patients treated per day
- Patient population consists primarily of outpatient cases, with additional acute inpatient and skilled swing bed patients
- Charting is performed using MatrixCare/Matrix EMR
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; 9-hour shifts
- No weekend or holiday coverage required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience preferred; new graduates may be considered as training is provided
- Active PT license required if applicable; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required; pending certifications are not accepted
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include evaluation and treatment across outpatient, acute inpatient, and swing bed skilled settings
- Department-specific orientation is provided (12 hours)
- Professional casual attire required
- No PT aides or PTAs on staff
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit or affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside firms will be considered
- This position is open to first-time travelers, as training is provided
