Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist with adult inpatient acute care experience for a Level I trauma center hospital offering a Monday–Friday day shift schedule with no weekend or holiday requirements.

Details

• Day shift schedule, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Inpatient acute care hospital setting at a Level I trauma center
• Treatments provided throughout the hospital, including critical care units, medical-surgical, and other specialty units
• Patient population includes general medical, surgical, neurological, orthopedic, and cardiac cases
• Caseload of approximately 8–10 patients treated per day
• Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend or holiday requirement, though coverage around holidays may be needed
• EpicCare Inpatient Therapist (PT/OT/ST) module used for charting

Requirements

• Active Virginia (VA) OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Prior adult inpatient acute care hospital experience strongly preferred
• Experience with general medical, surgical, neurological, orthopedic, and/or cardiac patient populations preferred

Additional Information

• Provide occupational therapy treatments across multiple hospital units, including critical care and specialty areas
• Qualified candidates may have the opportunity to focus their caseload in areas of greatest comfort, provided patient needs are met
• Caribbean blue scrubs required
• No on-call requirements for this position
• 13-week contract
