Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Neuro Unit Med/Surg position working 12-hour night shifts at a hospital in the Cherokee, GA area.

Details

• Acute Neuro Unit (612C) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes those recovering from acute illnesses or surgery, including neurosurgery, neurology, ENT surgery, and general surgery patients
• Patients range from ambulatory individuals requiring minimal assistance to bedridden patients requiring total care
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA-issued, must not be expired)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg or neuro nursing
• Driver's License required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Former permanent staff who have worked at this facility must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront prior to offer — requests cannot be made after an offer is accepted
• References are not required at the time of submission but will be needed during the compliance process
