Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / IR Technologist with cardiac cath lab scrubbing experience for a 13-week assignment in a cardiology/IR unit.

Details

  • Work in a 2-room cardiology/IR procedure unit with both cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology capabilities
  • Procedures include left and right heart caths, peripheral angiographies, pulmonary and peripheral thrombectomies, kyphoplasty, port placements, tunneled line placements, drain placements, ablations, and epidural injections
  • Equipment includes Siemens C-arm and Sonosite ultrasound
  • 4x10 hour day shifts per week
  • On-call rotation every other week, typically Wednesday through Tuesday
  • No floating to other units or departments

Requirements

  • Radiologic Technologist degree or RCIS certification required
  • Current BLS required
  • Previous cardiac cath lab experience required with proficiency in scrubbing cardiac procedures
  • 2 current references required for consideration — 1 from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years
  • License required if applicable
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Scrub cases in both the cardiac cath lab and interventional radiology
  • IR experience is preferred but not required — the facility will train the right candidate on IR procedures if cath lab experience is demonstrated
  • Hospital-supplied surgical scrubs are required when working in procedure rooms
  • Local candidates are not accepted for this position
