Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at an academic medical center, requiring Epic EMR experience and ACLS certification for a 13-week night shift contract.

Details

• 12-bed critical care unit specializing in neurological and neurosurgical patients
• Patient population includes CNS tumors, complex spine surgery, acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, endovascular interventions, traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury, neuromuscular diseases, status epilepticus, and CNS infections
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Floating required per facility float policy
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required (pending VA license will be accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (pending certification will be accepted at time of consideration)
• Neuro ICU or critical care nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Driver's license and Social Security card copies required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide intensive nursing care to patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions
• No radius rule — local candidates are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must allow 12 months to pass before returning as a traveler
• Up to 40 hours of RTO available per 13-week contract
• Any planned time off should be communicated to your recruiter prior to submission to ensure an appropriate start date
