Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience and active MI licensure.

Details

• Labor & Delivery (L&D) unit in a hospital setting
• 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule
• 13-week contract
• No blocked scheduling
• Travelers may be required to float to a nearby sister hospital

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Post-partum experience required
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• COVID vaccination required for employment

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and family education
• Effectively communicates pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team and participates in resolving variances from patient goals
• Online orientation modules must be completed onsite with a passing score, typically one week prior to start
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to accepting an offer; requests made after assignment begins will require manager approval
• Interviews will be conducted prior to placement
