Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• CVICU setting within a large academic medical center heart hospital
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1-2
• 36 hours per week on a day/night rotating or night-only schedule (3x12-hour shifts)
• Day shifts run 7:00–19:30; night shifts run 19:00–7:30
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday, night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity, no more than once every 4 weeks
• Epic EMR used; experience required
• Skills required include IV start, telemetry, ventilator management, Swan-Ganz catheter (SWANZ), conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PA lines

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Demonstrated skills in IV start, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and PA lines
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• All time-off and scheduling requests must be disclosed prior to consideration

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients in a high-acuity academic heart hospital environment
• No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation at this facility
