Description

American Traveler is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with 2+ years of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures on night shifts in Golden, CO.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology/imaging department setting
• Scope includes all general and vascular ultrasound procedures, excluding ABIs, segmental pressure studies, echo, and breast
• Monday through Thursday night shifts, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM or 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
• On-call required every 4th weekend for backup coverage
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience
• ARDMS registry required
• BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date
• Associate's Degree required
• Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures
• Experience with patient transfer, positioning, and immobilization
• Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
• Active license required if applicable
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• 2 professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for operating ultrasound imaging equipment, evaluating image quality, and submitting images with clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
• Coordinates ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care
• Follows sterile technique and infection prevention policies
• Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership
• Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
