Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 18 months to 2 years of experience in a multi-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER populations.
Details
- 3-room nuclear medicine unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
- Average caseload of 13–15 patients per day
- Required procedures include cardiac studies, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial imaging
- Preferred procedure experience includes brain scans, renal flow, and SPECT
- Charting performed in Cerner (required)
- Siemens equipment experience preferred
- Day shift, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Hours may vary depending on workload
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
- Current BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)
- ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required
- IV start proficiency required
- PACS experience required
- Cerner charting experience required
- Indiana or Compact license required if applicable
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted for this Allied position
- Travelers may be asked to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
- Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Former permanent or PRN employees of this facility must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to apply as a traveler
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be auto-approved
