Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Pulmonary Stepdown (PCU) night shift position in Indianapolis, IN, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and active IN or compact RN license.
Details
- 44-bed Medical Pulmonary Stepdown unit with a medically complex patient population
- All patients are on continuous bedside cardiac monitoring
- Typical RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4
- Drips include heparin, insulin, cardizem, nicardipine, and dobutamine
- Night shift: 19:00–07:30
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- One major holiday required per contract
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA) required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience required
- Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Driver's License copy required for consideration
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide progressive care nursing to medically complex pulmonary patients, including management of vasoactive and specialty drips
- Local candidates are welcome to apply; however, candidates residing within the facility's radius may be eligible at a different rate
- COVID vaccination is not required
