Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Flex Pool Night position floating across medical and surgical units, requiring a Hawaii RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Details
- Hospital-based position floating between multiple medical and surgical units, including a Medical Unit (77 beds), Laulima Surgical Acute Unit (18 beds), and Cardiovascular Unit (15 beds)
- Adult med/surg and step-down patient populations
- Nurse-to-patient ratios vary by unit: Medical Unit 1:6 (days/evenings) and 1:8 (nights), Laulima Unit 1:6, and Cardiovascular Unit 1:4
- 12-hour night shifts (1845–0715), scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
- Equipment includes Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes
- Floating required between Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units (Cardiovascular on rare occasions)
Requirements
- Active Hawaii (HI) RN license required by start of assignment; candidates without one must apply for it upon acceptance of offer
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Required certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS
- Preferred certifications: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, and ENPC
- Documented proof of immunity required; medical and religious exemptions will not be accepted in lieu of documentation
Additional Information
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to their assignment start date; candidates should plan to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday start to attend a Friday Employee Health appointment
- Orientation is provided for each unit with shift scheduling beginning at 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation
- Professional nursing attire (clean scrubs) required
