Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CCU (Cardiac ICU) night shift position at a large Level I Trauma Center, requiring critical care experience with PA catheters and a CT or compact RN license.

Details

  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00), including weekends
  • Cardiac ICU (CCU) unit within a large, short-term acute care hospital with 1,500+ staffed beds
  • Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center
  • Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
  • Floating required to ICU and PCU
  • No on-call requirements
  • Charting system: Epic
  • Parking is available at a cost of $125/month

Requirements

  • Active CT or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
  • Critical care experience with PA catheters required
  • Minimum 1.5 years of experience required if coming from a Level I Trauma Center or large hospital; otherwise, more experience may be expected
  • Prior trauma center experience at a large facility required
  • No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
  • 1 professional reference required for consideration
  • Flu vaccine required; declinations are not accepted
  • COVID vaccine required; religious or medical exemptions are accepted

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
  • Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
  • Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
  • Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
