Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position at a Critical Access Hospital in Minnesota, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and proficiency in fetal heart monitoring and IV starts.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a 19-bed Critical Access Hospital designated as a Level 4 Trauma Center
• Patient care responsibilities span triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:3 on days, 1:2–3 on nights and weekends; average daily census of 1–2 patients
• Night shift schedule: 7p–7a on weekdays and 3p–3a every other weekend
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating to departments outside of OB is possible to provide support; travelers will not be assigned a primary clinical role outside of OB, but should be comfortable with low-acuity non-OB patients managed within the OB department
• Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
• No on-call requirements
• Block scheduling is not available

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certification: AWHONN Intermediate
• Required skills: Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) and IV Start
• Preferred experience: Charge Nurse
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

• Pre-assignment modules are required to be completed before start date
• Candidates who previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been away for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
