Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at an academic medical center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an ICU specialty.
Details
- MICU setting within a large academic medical center
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required
- 50% of holidays during the contract period are required
- Floating required within the Adult ICU Cluster (primary) and Med/Surg (secondary)
- Cerner charting used; experience preferred but not required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
- Current BLS and ABLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of total nursing experience with at least 1 year of ICU experience
- Experience in a large facility or academic medical center required
- Ability to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
- 2 professional references required for consideration
- Any requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with solid ICU experience from a large facility or academic center are welcome to apply
- Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible at a reduced pay rate
- Role involves potential exposure to patients with contagious illnesses
- This is a 24/7 facility — rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and availability during inclement weather are expected
